Bag My Groceries! Tree Hugger
My tree hugger buddy doesn’t like to use grocery bags, plastic or paper, so she always brings her own environmentally safe bags. Problem is they’re kind of ugly and when you live in walking distance to the grocery store, you still have to lug it back to your place by hand which is kind of annoying.

I recently embarked on the grocery shopping “green movement” as well. I’ve been using this pretty awesome “Green” product that looks good and works well. It’s called the “Hidden Backpack” and it’s made of 90% recycled PET fabric. I’m not really a tree hugging environmentalist like the great folks at ecostreet.com whose fanatical ideals warned us about the dangerous No Shopping Day but despite my views I still found this bag to be pretty useful.
You can tell it is high quality, unlike some of the free ones you get as promotional products by companies or stores. They are a bit more expensive, stronger and sturdier than the other one’s I’ve seen despite its light weight nature. It’s more like a backpack which makes it really easy to bring with you anywhere. Sure it’s not as cool as the Douche Bag shirt or packs as much power as the Duke Nukem WaveBox Microwave blaster product but I’ve had this product for about 4 months now and I still use it a couple times a week. It’s one of those simple items that work and work well. Here’s some reason why I use and would buy more “hidden backpacks”.

1) Grocery shopping. I live walking distance to a Trader Joe’s market and I hate carrying multiple bags of items back to the house on my arms. This Hidden Backpack makes it so much easier.
2) Local Farmers Market shopping. Great for picking up food, fruits and random items at the farmers market. Lugging bags around in the sun while shopping at the farmers market isn’t fun, this product helps.
3) Traveling. As a tourist anywhere. Carrying this on your backpack makes walking around the city or tourist sites a breeze. Good place to put small towels, cameras, trinkets and items you buy when you’re out.

4) They’re good looking and they go with most items of clothing. Its modern looking and stylish. If you’re the type of person the cares how you look all the time (A lot of you in Los Angeles), this matters. You can even bring it to clubs or raves and have it with them the whole time without having some douche look after their things.

5) Environmentally safe and high quality. I’m sure even the not so environmentally conscious people will find this a plus.
6) Easy to wash. After using it every week for groceries and when I’m on the go, I was surprised how well it holds up and how it looks every time I wash it.
7) During some recent business events and even weddings I’ve been to, I’ve received those environmentally safe shopping bags with custom embroidered logos or text on them. If this is something you’re interested in, the “Hidden Backpack” is much nicer and makes you stand out more. In fact, I think I’m going to get these bags custom embroidered for FuncFash.com and have them as givaways.
