Cigerette and Lighter Cell Phones a Smoker’s Paradise
Here in the United States we have our Blackberries, iPhones, Pre’s, and Google phones. These phones do stuff like allow us to surf the web, check our Facebook accounts, and play fancy games. However, one thing I’m 100% sure they can’t do is hold cigarettes and light cigarettes. Take that iPhone!
Unfortunately you’ll need two phones in order to do this, but this is a pretty revolutionary step in the cell phone industry. Imagine while everyone is texting away like idiots on their fancy “smart phones” how you’ll be pulling out a “fag” (slang for cigarette) out of one cell phone and lighting it with your other cell phone. Why do you have 2 phones? It’s because you are THAT important.
Let’s take a look at these two wondrous pieces of Chinese technology.
Cigarette Box Cell Phone
Interestingly named the “Marlbara 3838 Multimedia Phone” (not to be confused with the cigarette line of “Marlboros.” it costs anywhere from $130 to $160 (depending on which Chinese exporter you buy from) unlocked. If you happen to purchase one of these Marlbara phones here’s what you get:
- A cell phone shaped like a box of cigarettes
- Potential to hold 7 actual real cigarettes
- A 0.8 megapixel camera
- Lung or brain cancer or both
Unfortunately for our US brethren and friends this phone only operates on GSM 900/1800 which Americans can’t use it (we operate on 850/1900 mostly).
To get a better idea what this phone looks like in person we found this Chinese video of the same phone, however, the phone featured in the video is not Marlboro branded:
Lighter Cell Phone
The official name of this fire-starting phone is the Seabright Lighter Phone SB6309. The manufacturer has captured the essence of their phone in this eloquent poem posted on its product page:
SB6309 The world’s first mobile phone with lighter!
Patent product Gold cigarette lighter
Defend wind,
No gas,
Never blew out
Suit for high altitude areas
If you are not into poetry or poor Chinese-English translations this just says the lighter will light your cigarettes in basically any condition. It’s very similar to your car cigarette later.
At around $150 you get the lighter and some other features:
- Dual sim card (for people who use more than one cell service)
- 1.3 megapixel camera
- FM radio
- Bluetooth…
- GSM Quad-band
The biggest thing this phone has going for it (after the fact that has a built-in lighter) is the fact that you can also use this phone in the United States. So smokers and pyromaniacs rejoice.
Conclusion
For $280 you can become the ultimate techie smoking nerd by purchasing both the Marlbara cigarette carrying phone and the Seabright lighter phone. Too bad you won’t be able to use the Marlbara here in the United States, but at least it can still hold cigarettes and light them in “high altitude areas.”
