Introducing FFPI: FuncFash Product Ideas
Wanted to introduce everyone to a new blog feature we are launching called FuncFash Product Ideas or FFPI for short. Most of the time we look at products other people have created, but in this feature we want to voice both our ideas and more importantly your ideas for functional fashionable products. We have some crazy product ideas and we are sure you guys have just as crazy product ideas. That’s why we want to hear from you!
How it works:
- You have a random functional and fashionable product idea, like a beer mug that siphons out alcohol to keep you from getting drunk, and you want to share this idea
- Submit your idea to FuncFash by emailing us at submit@funcfash.com (if you have drawings, diagrams, reference photos, links, etc… please include them as well)
- We will review and post up the product ideas and separate the spam from the good
- You will become famous (hopefully)
What kind of ideas are we looking for?
Product ideas that not only look good but also have one or more functional benefits. While a screwdriver is technically functional, it’s kind of boring. A solar powered screwdriver is better. A screwdriver that doubles as a taser is even better. Here are some categories and examples to get your creative juices flowing:
- Functional Clothes: ex. clothes that stop bullets, hats with pockets, helmet that looks like a hat, or a beer holding sweatshirt
- Non-traditional Computer Gadgets and Gizmos: usb drive that fits on a keyring, usb drive wrist band, or a washable anitbacterial keyboard
- Not Your Average Bag: bag that doubles as a cooler or a pouch that transfroms into a backpack
- Innovative Appliances and Accesories: portable solar charger, laser guided scissors, or a microwave/freezer/fridge all in one combo
- And whatever else you think of…
There will be points awarded for totally off the wall ideas that are so crazy that they just might work…
What’s In It for You?
The opportunity to showcase what a great and smart person you are. Our goal is for some company to eventually make our or your product idea into an actual product (because we are too lazy to make it ourselves or figure out how to make it). Then we can say “you know that beer mug that takes out the alcohol? That was my idea. Check out this link…” If you are not comfortable with your idea being stolen then don’t share the idea with us.
