Regular Bubbles Boring, Zubbles Are Amazing
The last time I seriously played with bubbles was probably was when I was like 7 years old. I remember how fascinating they were. They were magical seemingly created from nothing. However, many years later while still interesting bubbles don’t hold the same interest they used to for me (yeah I know I’ve “grown up”). But today I learned about a pretty cool innovation to the “bubble” industry called Zubbles.
Zubbles are color stained bubbles. Meaning they are bubbles with color. Clear bubbles are so yesterday and Presto Pink and Blazing Blue Zubbles are the future. This video should give you an idea of what Zubbles are like and also show you that you are never too old to play with bubbles.
You would think creating colored bubbles would be easy, but apparently it’s another of those “easier said than done” things. One of the biggest challenges as explained by the inventor Tim Kehoe who spent more than 15 years creating is coming up with a color dye that doesn’t stain people’s clothes.
Through shear persistence and determination (and those 15 years) he finally came up with the solution and now the world has Zubbles. Interestingly, the Zubbles after popping on clothes or fabric will initially stain your clothes, but after the solution completely evaporates so does the color. Just like invisible ink.

Apparently not only kids are the ones who are fascinated and demanding colored bubbles as Tim has remarked that after the product was announced thousands of brides contacted him “hoping to find a colored bubble that would match their bridesmaid’s dresses.” So for any people looking to “color” up their wedding perhaps Zubbles are for you.
