It’s pretty straightforward and similar to the other spy video camera’s we’ve looked at.  This time instead of hiding the camera in your sunglasses or shirt button the camera is slyly hidden in your baseball cap.  The main parts are the wireless camera that sits in the hat with the lens poking out a tiny hole on the front.  The camera sends the video signal to a wireless DVR recorder that you put in your pocket which allows you to record video to an SD card.

The only downside is that you can’t record audio.

Ok, so back to why I like Chinavasion.  Of all the Chinese electronic wholesalers I’d say they are the funniest and most honest about marketing the products they sell.   I mean on the solar vest we profiled they featured a nerdy looking guy picking up all these chicks since he helped them out by charging their electronic devices with his solar vest.  How many people selling a solar vest would come up with that?

And now with the Spy Baseball Cap they’ve hit marketing genius again.  If you check out the Spy Cap product page they have some funny “in-action” pictures of how and where you can use this product.  Basically they just advertised the product as how most people would use it (or most guys would us it) to take clandestine video of pretty girls.

Or to video record the couple behind you making out while you enjoy the show .

Notice, the “You sly dog!” printed on the image.  Ordinarily I would add that kind of commentary to pictures I find, but here Chinavasion has saved me the trouble.  The guy is indeed a “sly dog!”

Anyway kudos to them for breaking the mold and just selling the products how people would think to use them…

The Sap Cap is an ordinary baseball hat with a dark secret (not so much unlike Bruce Wayne). The secret is on the top portion of the cap there’s a hidden pocket which inside holds an impact material which has the same density as copper (which is very dense btw). So when you are about to be assaulted, molested, or raped you simply take your hat off your head and proceed to beat your assailant with the top of the hat.

If you can’t quite picture what this might look like this video will give you a better idea of how to use the Sap Cap.

You’ll like how the above video is shot in gritty dark style.  I’m sure this was done on purpose to represent the dark gritty secret that the Sap Cap holds.  If you watched the video you’ll notice that the punching bag probably regretted messing with this lean mean whacking machine.

The guy in the video gives a good analogy of using the Sap Cap is no different to use than swatting flies with your normal baseball cap.  However, the Sap Cap can break bones while your normal baseball hat will just annoy your would-be attackers.

The Sap Cap is perfect for someone who gets into a lot of fights and during the fights is always thinking “Man, I wish I had a weapon and I wish it wasn’t so bright outside!”  You don’t need to be blind and weaponless anymore.

After reconciling with Sharon over the minor cheating incident, John and Sharon were taking a nice moonlit romantic stroll on the boardwalk.  Out of nowhere a mugger jumped out of the shadows!

“Your money or your life!  Hand it over!” The mugger threatened pointing a pistol at John.

“BULLSHIT!”  The mugger cocked the hammer to his pistol. “I said.  Give me your money!”

“Look…”  John turned out all his pockets.  All that came out was some lint, Mentos, a few condoms, and a pair of red panties.  “See, no money.”

“What the fuck?  Why you smiling at me?”  The mugger slapped John across the face.  The blow of the impact knocked John’s ScotteVest Tec Hat off his head.  “You pathetic.”  The mugger as suddenly as he had appeared vanished into the night.

Even though he had just been bitch slapped,  John was still smiling.  He picked up his hat, dusted it off, and placed it back on his head.

“Honey, don’t worry that piece of shit didn’t get everything.  Remember how you were making fun of me for buying this hat with a bunch of pockets in it?  Well, I put all my money in the hat.  That loser didn’t get any of it!”  John stated.
